Three Cheers for Three Years: Happy Third Anniversary at Peran Design!
By Christine Raniets
Join Peran Design in celebrating its third anniversary by reflecting on the significance of the number three and sharing three key lessons for building a successful business.
January 2025 marks the third anniversary of my business, Peran Design. While I've been honing my craft for over 18 years, being an entrepreneur has been an incredible journey these past three years.
Naturally, with this milestone, the number three has been on my mind. OK. I have been slightly obsessed.
It is around us, from our earliest memories to our everyday lives. Remember rock, paper, scissors as a child? Or learning about solids, liquids, and gases in science class? Even crossing the street, the red, yellow, and green traffic lights.
Three represents balance, completeness, and harmony. It has a clear structure – beginning, middle, and end – which certainly influences my work, my ideas, designs, and stories.
In honor of my third year in business, my love of constraints, and a good theme, I am sharing three lessons I have learned. Sigh. Yes, just three.
1 / Ditch the self-trash talk. Get out of your own way – that BS, being vulgar with yourself, sabotages your success. Find comfort in the discomfort to grow and discover your joy.
2 / Listen and ask questions. Listen to your audience and the people you meet, ask questions, and be curious. Understanding their needs guides your business and ultimately shapes your purpose.
3 / Be generous. Share your knowledge, time, and resources with others. Generosity creates positivity and abundance, and it feels damn good.
Calling out to my network, let’s celebrate the number three. Are there other lessons or favorite examples of "three" in action? Please share your thoughts and add comments – I’d love to hear your perspectives! Check out my LinkedIn post.
Thank you to my family, friends, and clients.
Three cheers to Peran Design and the power of three.
